Emilio Beretta (Muralto, 1907 - Geneva, 1974) was a renowned Ticinese artist whose repertoire included paintings, frescos, illustrations, and set designs. Beretta trained at the school of fine arts in Geneva and later he attended the Gino Severini atelier in Paris. His ecclesiastical works, which can be found both in Ticino and French-speaking Switzerland, are mainly of baroc nature. On the other hand, his secular works have a post cubist identity, with some classical and French 19th century direction.
